Classic Yoga has been practiced for over 5000 years. Through the integration of postures (asanas), breath-work (pranayama), meditation (dhyana), and soothing sound
(dharana), Yogis (male practitioners) and Yoginis (female practitioners) discovered they could achieve physical conditioning, improve vitality, create inner calmness, and enjoy a
heightened sense of wellbeing.
Today, we translate these benefits into stress reduction, muscle strengthening
and improved range of motion, improved flexibility and balance, increased breath capacity and improved circulation, as well as a heightened sense of wellbeing. Under the instruction of Deb Potts, a registered Yoga Alliance (RYT-200) and
Certified Yoga Therapist,
students are trained in the ancient practice of Yoga, incorporating current knowledge in the field of
exercise physiology.
